For consignments of cashew kernels which are not covered under the Pre-export Compulsory Quality Certification Scheme, letters of exemptions are issued by SLSI, upon formal request for such letters by the exporters. The following details shall be furnished in this regard.

Total net weight of the consignment
Name and address of the buyer
Expected date of shipment
Mode of transport
Consignments less than 100 kg or consignments of roasted or salted cashew kernels will be exempted from inspections/testing. A fee of LKR 375.00 + Government Taxes will be levied to issue a letter of exemption for such consignments.
