Quality Assurance

SLSI laboratory complies to the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory quality management system standard and most of the tests performed in Chemical, Food and Microbiology laboratories have already been accredited as per ISO/IEC 17025: 2005. Laboratory Quality Management System was accredited by Swedish Accreditation Board (SWEDAC) from 2002 to 2012 and currently the accreditation status are continuing with the Sri Lanka Accreditation Board for Conformity Assessment (SLAB) since 2007. Accreditation status ensures the competence of laboratory testing processes to generate reliable and accurate test results and the test reports issued by the accredited laboratories are internationally recognized through ILAC-MRA (International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation - Mutual Recognition Agreement) with SLAB.
